You are the Hanged Man

Self-sacrifice, Sacrifice, Devotion, Bound.

With the Hanged man there is often a sense of fatalism, waiting for something to happen. Or a fear of
loss from a situation, rather than gain.

The Hanged Man is perhaps the most fascinating card in the deck. It reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain knowledge. Hanging from the world tree, wounded by a spear, given no bread or mead, he hung for nine days. On the last day, he saw on the ground runes that had fallen from the tree, understood their meaning, and, coming down, scooped them up for his own. All knowledge is to be found in these runes.

The Hanged Man, in similar fashion, is a card about suspension, not life or death. It signifies selflessness, sacrifice and prophecy. You make yourself vulnerable and in doing so, gain illumination. You see the world differently, with almost mystical insights.

"Lachrymal, See" by Nikki
---
Depths of musings,
After myriads of bliss,
Crossing abysm of graving,
Sorrow, gall.
-
Sweet nothings flutter,
depart the path it enters,
For a thought was a thought,
Prior what said.
-
Intrados across the nation,
Embankments amidst it’s reign,
Banters of immense empathy,
Aptitude, aloof pain.
-
Yet hollow,
Enounce the said,
Beyond ranges,
Past sight not seen.
-
Walk no further,
Halt, your steps,
Lift no finger,
For no purpose rests.

"Promenade a Water" by Nikki

Lift an intrinsic goblet high,
Intake the riparian ahead,
Audacity you have, to hoist away superbia,
Such puissance,
To promenade a water.
-
Cipher the danger you seek,
the time is imminent,
Make trite the prospects,
Bellow and allow what you cannot do,
Utilize them as instruments.
-
Sought aid, if you stumble a ripple,
Have girdles as kudos,
Abide your aspiring and stroll,
Rivet all beguilements, all misleads,
Halt not, and promenade the waters.
-
You are the epitome,
Any hindrance will not impede,
Fire is your strength, water is your foeman
Glint your finish, accomplish your pursuit,
Even if arcane, you’re promenading the waters.

"Storm" by Inchada

A storm rages.
With winds of fury
carrying whispers
of love, hate, and sadness.
A tempest of feelings
for you I keep.
Weathering away
whatever is left of me.
